Recommendation for chair cushions recovered

I can highly recommend Rosie Shaw for upholstery. I found a recommendation or her off this forum and so glad I looked here to find someone. We have a built in daybed which required some out-the-box thinking for covering it. Rosie made an exquisite covering for the mattress, with button-upholstered side and back panels. Her attention to detail was beautiful when working with the fabric. She also made some cushions for us. We are already in the process of having further work done by Rosie and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for upholstery services. http://rosieshawupholstery.co.uk
We looked high & low for new sofas & chairs & then decided to get them reupholstered. we got several quotes from local companies, but not only was Anne Marie (Angel Upholstery) the best value, but offered the most professional service, giving guidance & making sure the work was carried out within our time frame & limited budget. Our two club chairs look stunning, as does our sofa bed, however, everything gets stripped down to the wooden frame & replaced, so we now have amazingly comfortable seating & no one realises that they are sitting on a sofa bed. No one recognises our old furniture & assume it is brand new, which essentially it is. Here is a link to the WEB SITE, but please pm me if you would like to see some photos. http://www.angelupholstery.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx

I am so pleased to have found Rosie's recommendation on the Forum - Rosie recently reupholstered an old chair for me and was so helpful throughout - she knew the kind of fabric I was wanting and organised for some samples to be sent from the company she used regularly. She ordered the selected fabric and the job was done quickly and efficiently. Rosie has done a great job, and I'm really pleased with how it looks. Great price as well...I will definitely use Rosie again for any upholstery jobs. Rosieshawupholstery.co.uk

    • I’m in exactly the same position.  They badgered me for ages to have a water meter fitted.  I’d prevaricated simply because it’s so tedious dealing with these people but eventually gave in when the communications became increasingly frequent and aggressive and it was done in March 2023. I just assumed I’d then be charged on actual consumption but I received an email this morning with details of the latest price increase and it said, “Since your property doesn’t have a water meter, your bill is calculated in advance based on fixed rates rather than water usage”.  I’m sure they’ve realised I’d be paying much less if they billed me on actual consumption but have not gone out of their way to inform me.  Trawling through their website, for me anyway, is an unutterably tedious chore, but I think I’ll now have to work up the energy over the weekend to pick up the phone on Monday morning and have a word with them.
    • Great Service again from Andy.  Contacted him with a couple of issues with toilet cistern and shower.  He came over and sorted it all out quickly. Good advice given, reasonable charge for the jobs.  Highly recommend Andy!
    • Just seen this.  Your post was a bit unnecessary.  I was simply responding to the previous post that children should be cycling on the pavement. But as you say I know shed loads about transport.  Not to the depths that some go down to the minutia.  Some call me the space cowboy.  Some call me the gangster of love.  I think of myself as the people's poet.  You have to laugh at yourself. Echoing what DKH said, we weren't there, you don't know the parent was making a snide remark, My favourite Dulwich parent story was a few years ago were friends when we were in the Herne garden a few years ago, who let their children run riot.  Bless.  One decided to turn the hose on spraying some poor drinkers.  Now most of us would be mortified, but the friends welcomed their child's creativity.
