lilygogan
Hi. Being induced due to health complications. Anyone had any success with reflexology to bring things on or at least get things ready. Thanks x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48340-any-luck-with-reflexology-to-induce-labour/ Share on other sites
Convex
Yes, I think it helped soften things up. I think I had 3 sessions. Problem is you can never know whether you would have gone into labour anyway!!! In any case it also helped massively with pain relief during my labour, so I would recommend you go for it. (If you want to use for pain relief your birth partner will need to cone and learn the points.) bawdy-nan
no idea if it worked - both mine came at 2 weeks plus days) and I tried reflexology (and acupuncture and all manner of other things) but it is absolutely lovely and very, very relaxing, so would recommend for that reason alone. bodsier
I trained in maternity reflexology and though I think it's a wonderful effective treatment for all sorts if health issues, but really, baby comes when it is ready. In such cases Reflexology helps to ease any stress and anxiety about giving birth, which in itself can delay the process. It is beneficial, but not does not always induce labour.
