  1. We haven been super impressed with the fruit and Veg from here. Fully recommend
  2. I have used Summerbird cleaning for many years. Locally run and some lovely cleaners
  3. I also want to recommend Gokay as an amazing Personal Trainer! I have been working out with Gokay since last year and can honestly say he is the best. His circuits classes are varied, fun, focused and friendly. Gokay meticulously prepares for every class, ensuring a complete body work out that meets the needs of all his clients. I have lost a stone since exercising with Gokay, and feel so much more confident and healthy. Gokay is approachable and really brings a sense of community to the people he coaches.
  4. Amanda Roberts hair and Make up. Amanda did my hair in 2010 and is fantastic. She is local to ED and is an award winning make up artist as well as lovely!
  5. Interested in 7pm on a Monday. Have requested to join your Facebook page
  6. Hello, key lost either along Woodwarde/ Carlton Avenue / Allyen?s School today, Saturday morning. Have retraced steps many times and can not find. Has a key ring can confirm colour to identify Reward ?25
  7. Neil at Magic carpets fitted our upstairs after our renovation and he?s great. +44 7984 147403
  8. Harrods is pretty hard/ impossible to get tickets for, unless your a Harrords card holder. At 16 months they don?t really know what is going on. So you could do something local like Wippersnappers in Dulwich Park. Then save the big Harrods event for a few years when they are a bit older. Look at places like leeds castle or Ruxley manor
  9. Hello, are there any specialist local hairdressers able to deal with a high sensory needs child? Ideally, someone who will come to our home or can give a pre- opening appointment. It seems a thing in Wales and the States, but nothing in London I can see. TIA
  10. Sorry to hear this. Awful feeling of personal intrusion
  11. Definitely worth asking your neighbours to see. All the neighbourhood watch groups are fairly well joined, so link up on serious issues. If not, do consider starting one for your road
  12. Woodwarde Road has a neighbourhood watch group, which alerts residents of things like this via email. Are you on the group? Well worth making the coordinatinator aware as they can let everyone know. It means we all collectively have one place to keep each other informed.
  13. The best news I?ve had all day! Sooo please to hear
  14. Hurah. At last! Positive action being taken. There are signs uk which owners ignore, and there is dog exercising track which some owners ignore. So all in all I am really pleased about this. Those who are responsible will take note of the rules and exercise their dogs within those rules. Those who don?t will get a fine. Some dogs off the lead are a danger to children and park users.
  15. Have always loved this pub. Not been back for a while with one thing and another.. but a good reminder to pop in for food and beer soon!
  16. Monica that?s great to know.. I?m goinf to start refilling! Thanks!
  17. Excellent to see. I?m now following on Instagram. I?ve just written my top 10 list for reducing my family?s plastic waste and general household rubbish. By end of 2018 I want to create no waste in the following areas: Hand soap Washing liquid Cleaning spray Cling film Sandwich bags Milk bottles Cheese Coffee cups Fruit Veg Tea bags Well it?s at 11 now... but tea bags is an easier one to achieve!
  18. We just moved locally without Roberts and Denny and had a good experience. Very happy overall
  19. Am I missing something? A. When Babies cry, they tend to need milk/ cuddles/Nappy change.. so how is it helpful sending the baby outside? B It?s freezing at the moment. It would take me several mins to get my baby wrapped up in their snowsuit in order for me to take them outside without catching a cold. So how on Earth on either account was is remotely acceptable to send the poor thing outside? It?s a baby, it was upset. End of. So, Bakery Baby Gate. Mixed opinions fairly balanced on both sides. But two key points which make me think the cafe is in the wrong- if they promote themselves as Baby friendly, by providing high chairs etc, then they need to accept babies will come in and possibly cry. Secondly, it's a cafe, not a office/ library/ private members club, and people make noise. Including babies. Hardly the crime of the century...
  20. Pedder in Dulwich Village is advertising for a Saturday temp for general admin at the moment. Saw the notice yesterday
  21. I live in SE22, this is my local sorting office and I have not received a single bit of information about this closure formally. That is appalling. I have only found out about it via this forum. Very cross indeed I will be expected to collect heavy and bulky items, on the bus at Peckham- I simply will not be able to manage this due to health issues. I have completed the survey monkey survey above
  22. I will declare upfront and be honest that Tony, whom I highly recommend, is a friend. However, he is an excellent plumber and bathroom fitter. He has done multiple work for our family, as well as for many of our friends. He comes highly recommended by everyone who uses him. Definitely worth getting a quote and having a chat anyway. He is very busy though! http://www.ellingford-plumbingandheating.com
  23. Could still be the rumour mill as Dulwich Village Infants school sent this text: From DVIS today: Parent alert: Today AM there was an attempted abduction in E.Dulwich of primary sch child. Child is safe. Chdn at DVIS are being reminded of stranger danger. So no mention of a separate incident at DVIS. The message from dulwich college is: We have been informed by the Southwark Safeguarding Coordinator of an incident that occurred near Elsie Road, East Dulwich at 8.40am this morning. A white man in a black car stopped and tried to pull a Year 6 girl along by her cardigan. The police have been informed. Again a single incident (still one too many)
  24. I was emailed about this via the neighbourhood watch group. Really sorry to sorry to hear what happened. Agree burglar alarm on basically all the time, even if you pop out for 1 minute and always alarm downstairs when in bed.
