I used to get my hair cut at a rather expensive salon in Chelsea. Wanted something local since becoming a mum! Amy is an excellent cutter, finisher and colourist. She's also really lovely! Anyway it's now my regular salon and I'm so glad I found it!

Any recommendations pls? I've got prices from couple of hairdressers in the area but too expensive. Thanks

Sorry if this has already been discussed, can't see a thread though. Just driven by and it looks very shut. Also management not responding to emails or answering phone. Any idea if it's closed? Why? I'm guessing not busy enough?

Looking for other mums in area- 10 month old son
cazfay posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hello I'm currently on maternity leave, and returning to work part time in the New Year. A lot of my mummy friends are now back at work, and working full time. Looking for mum's in the a area to hang out with. My 10 month old & I like Peckham & Dulwich parks, caf?s, Hornimans, popping to Bromley for shopping etc. All the usual stuff & now he is getting more mobile we are up for trying out soft play sessions and things like that. Any like minded Mum's up for hanging out? PM me. -
I do baby sensory in Forrest Hill with Chee & I have to say it's my favourite class. It's not as expensive as other similar classes too, great value for money

Thank you everyone. Some really good points to consider. I will call Mason and Green (not heard of them before so great tip thank you) and have a chat with them. Thanks again

My car just went 'ping', followed by a loud 'ssssss' noise so it needs to go into the garage. In the meantime I need to get about with my 9 month old. Do any taxi companies provide car seats? Or should I just use my own and learn how to fix it with a seat belt (currently use an isoxif in my car. Is it okay to fix your own seat in a cab? Sorry not done this before! Slightly niaeve here!

Have treated the source of the problem, but have a few damp patches on walls & ceilings that need painting with damp proofing paint & then painting over. One patch on wall may need rubbing down and plastering. Professional painter / decorators only please.

Nicola has just spent a day & half pruning & tidying my gardaren. I have to say I've been very impressed- it looks fantastic & She's given it a lot of love! Would highly recommend her- she knows her plants, is a really lovely lady & I will be using her again. [email protected]

I love taking my son to Baby Sensory. I can highly recommend it! The classes are very well thought out, with something different each week and all the 'props' used are always clean and good quality and Chee, who runs the class, is so energetic and enthusiastic! I've just signed up for my second term

Any luck with reflexology to induce labour?
cazfay replied to lilygogan's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Sorry to say I tried it and nothing! My son was 2 weeks overdue! -
I think it's great for supper. Personally I don't need to have eaten half a cow & a truck load of chips to feel full. Light tapas style food is delicious, varied and fun. Clearly some people might be better off with an eat as much as you can buffet for ?10...

Hi I'm looking for an excellent, thorough and reliable cleaner on Friday mornings for family home. I looking for someone who understands you need to clean behind the sofa from time to time , as well as around! Preferably to start at 8 or 9 am for 3-4 hours each week on a Friday. Must speak good English to understand cleaning requests. References required and I will follow them up. ?10 per hour.

Any local Messy play (baby) & soft play centre (toddler)?
cazfay replied to cazfay's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks very much! -
Hi Sorry to load one post with two different questions! I am looking for a messy play session locally for my nearly 8 month old. Is there anything nearby? Also I have some friends visiting in a few weeks, and we thought we could go to a soft play centre to keep their two toddlers entertained. Is there a nice place anyone would recommend. We have cars so could drive a up to half an hour to a centre. Thanks very much for your help!

Sterilising baby bottles on long haul flights
cazfay replied to nunheadchick's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We purchased the tommy tippee disposable bottles for our flight, and never looked back! Use & throw away. -
We are in desparate need of a roofer. Been let down by ours- was given a quote back in March and 5 months on he has still not given a date to start work. Despite lots & lots of promises, he is now not replying phone calls. If anyone can recommend a roofer please? Thanks
