Hi everyone. My 3 year old boy is starting nursery next week, mornings only. I'm struggling a bit to find regular things to do with him afterwards as all the groups/activities that we used to do (gardening, arts and crafts, swimming) were mornings only. What do others do with their little ones in the afternoons? Are there any good groups, activities anyone can recommend? Many thanks.
Is he interested on dancing at all, Gdnd academy do a class called little moves street dance at east dulwich leisure centre on a Monday afternoon. My daughter loved it and her little brother would come along and really enjoyed it too. http://www.gdnd.co.uk/timetable/

My 3 year old also attends morning nursery sessions. It's definitely easier to find morning activities so we often end up at the park/playground in the afternoon and travel further afield on a rainy day.

Most of the stay and play options are now updated on our site for this term. http://www.edtots.co.uk/ If anyone knows of any others or changes that have been made to private providers' sessions, please feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks gebbjane and EDTots. Will check these both out for sure. Maybe I'm being too ambitious and actually a morning at nursery might leave him so shattered that a local park will suffice. Just fancied doing something a bit different every now and again. It's the rainy days that leave me stumped for ideas!
you can swim in the afternoons at the Peckham Pulse. We used to go to the Horniman a lot, in fact at one point we went every week! Or get some good wet weather gear for you both and head out come rain or shine - if you go to the woods (Dulwich/Sydenham) you're fairly well protected.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
