I'm always on the lookout for quiet local 10k routes. Here are some of mine

* through Dulwich Village, up College Lane to Crystal Palace mast then along Sydenham Hill, Horniman Nature Trail, Dawson's Hill (optional extra leg up One Tree Hill)

* Up Lordship Lane / Mount Adon to Dawson's Hill then along Woodvale / Westwood Park then One Tree Hill, back along the Rye then through Choumert Road to top of Dog Kennel Hill and back down Greendale

* through Dulwich Park, Gallery Rd and Belair to West Dulwich, Rossendale Road, Brockwell Park, Ruskin Park, Greendale

Bellenden Rd, Fenwick Rd, round top edge of Peckham Rye, Wood Vale, Court Lane, Dulwich Village, Red Post Hill, Denmark Hill, Dog Kennel Hill and back... used to be my 10K route. It's all pretty hilly round here. After running a 10K round these parts, running on a flat course makes you feel like Mo Farah.

This is s great thread - thanks to those posting their routes.

Here's our 4 parks 12k (7.4 mile although the app says 6.4. We don't believe it!) loop that 2 of us do every week and which takes us about 50-55 mins - little heavy traffic, green spaces, funny incidents to spot so lots to laugh about - even as we as we stagger up Greendale.

    • I'm off North Cross Road, and they deliver there. Ocado do have good offers, and yes obviously they are great value if you can stock up on things which keep. After doing some calculations, I just couldn't make it financially viable, even with what seemed like a very good offer. I think there must have been a minimum spend, and I couldn't find enough I wanted to buy from Ocado  to reach it, even though my Waitrose delivery is often pushing £100 when I'm stocking up on things. I'll try again at some point if they haven't given up on me. I used to spend ages comparing prices of things between the different supermarkets, until I belatedly realised that my time was worth more than the relatively  miniscule amounts I was potentially saving 🤣
