MUDDY BOOTS CHILDREN'S NATURE GROUP

It was a lovely sunny session on Monday at the Reserve making and sailing our conker boats (see pic attached). Forecast is good for this Friday's session which will also be on conkers again, in case you missed it. We'll be learning about them, searching for them, opening them, making conker shell boats, (and conker people/ animals for slightly older children). Look forward to seeing you at the Reserve tomorrow, Friday 10-11.30am.

Muddy Boots Children's Nature Group is a pre-school group which runs at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve in Forest Hill every Monday and Friday 10-11.30am. Its very hands-on, friendly, relaxed, completely outdoors and aims to let children learn about nature, get grubby, get lots of fresh air and explore at their own pace this lovely wild green space.

Each week we have a nature related activity, digging, watering, a walk in the woods, tree climbing, foraging, listening for wildlife and end up with a story and a snack.

Children any age love the peace of the Reserve and are very welcome. To engage best with the day's more structured activity, I recommend 14m and over.

Its ?6/ child and ?4 for siblings over 13m. Younger siblings are very welcome to come along for free.

For more information, and to let me know if you're coming, either message Holly here or call/text on 07919 077198 OR like 'Muddy Boots at Devonshire Road' on facebook to get all session updates.

See you soon!

Holly

    • I want to recommend Derek who has been gardening professionally for over 20 years. He recently did a job for me and I found him to be reliable, thorough and affordable. He is based in SE15 and can do most aspects of gardening be it general maintenance, hedge-cutting, planting, pruning, creating beds etc. Derek: 07376 041 321
    • Hi everyone, Moving to East Dulwich (SE22) from Melbourne, Australia; I've never actually been to the area (husband has) so the only thing i've got to go on is google street view, instagram and a few rogue tiktoks. Looks great though and excited for the move. Any cycling clubs that can be recommended or group rides? I'm thinking Peckham Cycle Club but wondering if there are any others in the area to consider; and secondly, any fenced dog parks / good spots to take our 2x dogs. Cheers!
    • ED to Peckham Rye, Peckham Rye to Catford.  15 minutes would be pushing it though.
