Where's the nearest tip?

Just wondering where the nearest tip is - assuming its over in Battersea, but is there a nearer one?

The Southwark one is in the Old Kent Road near the old gasworks.

Its brilliant. You just drive up the ramp and throw your stuff into the correct bin.

The staff are very helpful.

They haven't said "You can't dump that there 'ere" to me once!

So Southwark runs a tight ship and Lewisham a shight tip?

Southwark will come and collect bulky items from you if you go online and book a collection. You have to wait a few days but I've done this a few times and it was really easy.

The OKR tip is tops. It kind of reminds me of a karting track. Throwing your stuff down into the pits is so much better than climbing up the side of the skips, like you had to do in the West Dulwich one. And you never have to queue. I almost look forward to going there.

Also, they will come and collect from you. And if they say they will not climb up stairs to collect and expect you to get an item to ground floor, argue with them. The bosses know they will collect but the information does not always filter down to the unprepared untrained person answering the phones.
