  1. I just went to look at the new forum, and it looks like all the posts from different users are written by the same person. Same bad spelling and grammar throughout all posts! How funny.
  2. Quite funny really - internet forum turf wars seem so 2002.
  3. Wow people are so negative and cynical. I think it sounds like a great initiative. If people want to help shape the project, then why not get involved and play a part.
  4. Kid Kruger you could try calling 101 for a non-emergency if you're suspicious/concerned. I was mugged by s two guys on a moped just before Christmas. The police told me there is a real spate of moped muggings and crimes at the moment and it's gangs operating. Any information they can gather to help build up a picture I imagine will be of use :)

We all know period houses are victorian, edwardian, georgian styles etc. You sure can get houses built in the 1960's for cheaper - because they are less desirable.
  6. I think there's still plenty demand for property and prices are going up. Brexit hasn't had any effect on the housing market that I've seen. Gvt changes to stamp duty have affected the top end of the market. House prices round here aren't falling, they are going up.
  7. I saw Jo Brand in the little Sainsbury's buying milk.
  8. Southern Rail is back to normal now. Road congestion is getting worse everywhere in London sadly!
  9. I got mugged by someone on a moped just before Christmas, in Brixton. Snatch my bag off my shoulder as I was walking along the pavement with in a group of friends. Keep an eye on your stuff and do watch out for the mopeds. The police told me this type of crime is really on the up.
  10. If the nurseries are nearby to where you live, does that not mean then that your home will also be 'in the zone'?
  11. Thank you for the suggestions! Dulwich picture gallery would b lovely. Horniman is being renovated unfortunately. This wedding is being planned in a very short space of time! Will have a look into the Tudor barn too. Thanks again everyone!
  12. Hello everyone, I'm on the hunt for ideas for a decent small local wedding venue, for about 100 people. I was wondering if any of you guys have been to weddings in the local area that were nice? My friend tried for the Crooked Well but sadly it's booked up! Wondering if anyone on here might know of a hidden gem? Any ideas welcome! :)
  13. I would also like to add a recommendation for Tom. My bathroom lights stopped working on Friday night, and I had guests staying for the weekend! I found the recommendation for Tom on this forum, text him at 8am Saturday morning and he was round by 9.30am to fix the lights. Saved my weekend, great service. Would def use again.
  14. Hi there, Are there any local electricians around who could pop out to replace a broken pull chord light switch in my bathroom? Looking for someone who could come this morning ideally. (East Dulwich) Please drop me a message if anyone has a spare slot. Many thanks, Angela
  15. Brick House bakery is meant to be nice. I've not tried it though so don't count on my recommendation. My face brunch spot is Peddler.
  16. The old bank on lordship lane is going to become a vets. I thought that space would have made a good restaurant or bar! But I can see a vets in the centre of 'town' will also be really useful to people with pets who don't have cars.
  17. So the big question is... when will the new M&S make all the local house prices go up? ;o)
  18. Now that M&S is open, it might about about time to close this thread!
  19. I think they sound louder today. Although I hadn't really thought about it until I saw this post. Now if i sit and listen for them I can hear them. It must be the wind or something. But best just to try and not think about them I still say, then they become pretty much invisible :)
  20. Well I'm very happy indeed we finally have an M&S! I prefer M&S to Waitrose also, but wouldn't mind having both in the area.
  21. I've heard Firezza Pizza is going to open next to Franklins on LL.
  22. I read today that a Turtle Bay is coming to Rye Lane. They have one in Birmingham that is good!
  23. transport links aren't regular enough for a huge event I wouldn't have thought?
  24. Edited as just spotted this post: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1580549,1580616#msg-1580616&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
