Anyone else get woken up in the early hours by very loud music followed by shouting and screaming that spilled out onto the street? Top end of Upland Road. I am in neighbouring street so can't be sure where the noise was coming from exactly. Did the police turn up and sort things out?

There was a disturbance a couple of weeks ago - more shouting etc. If anyone knows the house number can they private message me with it please so that I can call the police when it happens again :0(

No police involvement as far as I'm aware. The trouble sloped off up the hill eventually. Quite disgusting disregard for neighbours and the general public though. There was some truly prolific shouting, screaming and swearing. And yes, there was similar (but mercifully shorter lived) disturbance a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure where it came from precisely but it was in the 300s.

It woke me up and I watched it all as there was no way I could get back to sleep. It went on for about an hour. Two police cars and an ambulance and a screaming individual eventually carted off. The 6 or so police officers didn't seem all that concerned with persuading people to keep the noise down considering it was 3 in the bloody morning.

It talks to the couple who ran SNARL, and provides something of their account of how the project began, developed and ended, and the effect it had on their lives then and subsequently.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002j5nr

    • Hi all, it’s been a while since I last posted so I thought I’d provide a quick update on what we now can offer. Alongside the usual bespoke joinery (wardrobes, bookcases, alcove units etc), I’m now also working with a wider range of veneered boards (ash, maple, walnut, etc.) as well as fluted/reeded panels for anyone after a more textured, high-end finish. I’ve also been adding more lighting options to my fitted furniture – warm white LED strips with sensors or remote controls, ideal for wardrobes and bookcases. They make a huge difference once fitted and really elevate a space. If you’re planning a project and would like to explore these options, please feel free to get in touch.
