Apart from ending the peculiar debate on whether GBK is a bad thing if it belongs to a chain, and a good thing if not, there is one thing that would add substantively to improve thriving East Duwlich... knocking down those shocking buildings that house Somerfield, the Haart - Winkworth arcade, and the particular monstrosity that is Icelend.

Can't we petition someone, walk in circles waving placards or something?

These aren't cutsie East Dulwich with boutique stores, this is bloody Hitchin through and through...

I'm sure you could do some intersting things with the exterior by cladding or rendering & painting? Probably make the buidling a lot more eco at the same time. I reckon making better use of what's there with a bit of taste and ingenuity is a much better option than knocking down and starting again...

Might consider a lump sum for flooring as opposed to going grey. Ideally no curtains at all but if you wish then maybe blinds in lounge and bedroom.

    • the reason Tories have lost votes is because they have lost trust primarily. the voters didn't vote for what the Tories did, but what they promised. you can't blame the voters for the outcome, just because they voted for the party. Labour are in a position of influence so we will have to see what they do.  Reform are there, as quite a presence should Labour continue to fail. It feels as if we are on a very thin line
