Bars in the Shard

The Rake is a bar rather than a pub - and a small one at that (although very good). Used to buy beer from the Utobeer boys back in the 90s when they just had the stall in the market.

The shard is expensive but if you really want to do something nice then its a good place because of the atmosphere it gives if you want to treat her then go there and have a look at the nice view.

My girlfriend and I went to Oblix Restaurant in the Shard last night for my birthday and it was the best food I've ever had. Expensive but really good. Had a drink in aquashard first and a drink in the Oblix lounge after. The only annoying thing was after paying a lot of money for our dinner we then had to pay ?5 each entertainment charge because they had a jazz singer in the lounge. We only wanted one more glass of wine!
