dibden
had anyone recently applied for Canadian citizenship for their kids ? the website says it can take up to 12 to 15 months to process and I was wondering if anyone had experience with it and how long it actually too. Trying to figure out if its just a guide timeline or it will take a year or longerthanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50871-canadian-citizenship-for-your-kids-how-long-did-it-take/ Share on other sites
EDmummy
Wow - that is a long time. I don't have experience of Canadian citizenship applications but when I applied for Aus citizenship for my kids I'm pretty sure it was about 4-6 weeks. Coach Beth
Yes, I applied for my son a couple of years ago - it didn't take that long but I honestly can't remember how long it took. I remember being pleasantly surprised that it was quicker than they said on the website. But you don't know - it could be there is a backlog or something. I did find Canada House pretty helpful - I emailed them a few times and they got back to me promptly so do email them.
