Wishful thinking. I think you're wrong this will be all over the 'tory' press tomorrow. The Sun's already trying to find the owner and you should see the reaction on more working class forums than this, like football ones : )

Not a mandate, but another indicator as to why Labour have been losing the traditional 'Labour' working class vote over the last decade - first to the BNP and more recently to UKIP.

I have no doubt it will be all over the press but it's hardly Grodon Brown being caught on tape calling a woman bigotted is it.

The working class thankfully doesn't only include the likes of die hard football fans. And the majority of working class people don't hang flags of St.George outside their homes either, So what kind of englishman does? UKIP? EDL? Not sure Labour had those votes anymore anyway.

I agree Loz that Labour's move away from the core vlaues it was formed under has alienated many longer standing traditional voters. But how else were they to get elected after 16 years of a Tory Government that took us towards a more free market economy, from which enough people benefitted at the time? As we all know, UKIP and the BNP never were, and never will be the answer. And I don't know what it will take either for all parties to represent the needs of all the people again.

Not at all. I am working class through and through, as are all of my family and their friends etc, and none of them support the EDL, UKIP or hang the flag of St. George from their windows. They are in fact the traditional labour voters that some claim are all turning away from the Labour Party.

I just resent your assumption that working class people are all the same, and they should stay the same forever.

PT all my family and a large number of my friends were traditional Labour voters who became disenfranchised post 1997. At least under Blair, we knew where we stood. Under Milliband, who knows what he represents or his party. The sneering from the top of the Labour Party on the 'dead cert' white working class vote is shocking and its forced some very traditional hardcore socialists into the long grass not knowing which way to turn. Labours elite shun the working classes at that peril.

Louisa.

I can almost see the heavily engineered double-pager the Snu will write when they recruit this guy.

"That's it, hold the flag up a bit more. Can you look at a more more sad? Great! Tape recorder's running. Lets stick to loving your country and not being ashamed of being English. Don't say anything too vile.."

We (and 'we' haven't all filled in the gaps BTW) aren't sitting members of parliament for the 'Labour'(ha ha ha) Party

Name calling says more about you ???? than it does me. If you can't cope with anyone disagreeing with you then you shouldn't post at all perhaps?

We all know what kind of person was being portrayed by that photo (rightly or wrongly as we don't know the person living there). The white van, die hard racist football fan, who thinks inmmigration is to blame for all our woes and supports the EDL with a fervour? I know of thiese kinds of people from experience, I grew up amongst them. They don't represent the general views of the working class, they don't speak for me or my family. So the only pompous ass is you in thinking anyone who disgarees with you must be sneering too? It's a bit like your constant tiresome regection of opposing views on economics being the rantings of the left as well.

Otta is right, and there's hardly a press furore this morning either is there?

'We (and 'we' haven't all filled in the gaps BTW) aren't sitting members of parliament for the 'Labour'(ha ha ha) Party'

But you filled in gaps in claiming the Labour party is sneering at the working class because of one photo sent by one MP! And you felt so certain in your assumption you felt the need to start a thread in a local forum for it.

    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
