UPVC top hung window -help please

Hello

Can someone help me please? I opened the window and it won't shut. It seems it's locked but I have no idea how to 'unlock' it. Has anyone else experienced the same problem. How did you fix it?

Yes, I can open it more but cant shut it.

there are normally little push buttons on the hinges (one each side)to get the windows to open extra wide maybe one of these has got stuck in some way.
