Police lose the Lost Property.

My hubbie lost his keys near his garage.

Coincidentally there were some police nearby and they found them, so they took them to the Lost Property department and one of the police told him his colleague had done this.

So he went to collect them, but they did not know where they were.

He went every single day for nine days. On the Friday they said to come back tomorrow.

On the Saturday he was told Lost property is closed weekends.

He went on the Monday, and still noone knew where these keys were, yet it was the police who had handed them in.

Finally, a civil officer sorted everything about nine days later and he was reunited with his keys.

So put notices up on trees, advertise on the local press, in this forum, and through pigeon post but for the love of a God I do not believe in, do not hand them in to the police.

As for the message below this. YES! Too true!

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
    • GP not willing to refer you on? Say, to King's or similar. Odd
