Hi I am looking for a trainer to help me get amazing results in the next 3 months, training me between 3-5times a week, ideally outside on Peckham Rye or Goose Green and using a combination of boxing, kettle bells, HIIT training...keeping it interesting and lots of cardio.

Really need someone who can see me as much as 5 times a week for the next 2 weeks and also between 29th Dec-4th Jan. I will then look to continue throughout January and February.

Anyone with a recommendation- particularly for training females to get a lean shape and fat loss results please let me know too!

Thanks in advance

I recommend Lauren Whitby as I have attended her women only Boot Camp in Dulwich Park which definitely gets results (3times a week but in a group)and is very reasonable cost wise. She also does PT on Peckham Rye so see if she is available at times you require.

Gokay is excellent. I can highly recommend him. I know that he is very very busy which to me is a good thing and similar to finding a restaurant full of locals as you know it must be good quality!!! He certainly provides a great service.

His website is http://www.yourlocalpersonaltrainer.co.uk

I would recommend Zoe Webster

She is very friendly and encouraging and patient with many years' experience. she has been training my mum for over 10 years and I have gone to some of her classses and she is very good at training people at different levels

Hi I would recommend patrice' Urban Fit and fearless on Bellenden Road on a wednesday

it is a self defence class but with a lot of fitness exercise - I got fitter than I have ever been before the first class is free. Patrice does personal training too so you can try a class and see if you like his style

I would also recommend Community Circuits in Herne Hill as the instructors also do personal training so you can go to the classes and pick which instructor you would like to have for PT.

[www.communitycircuits.com]The classes are only ?10 each or ?72 for ten (currently) and the first is free. The instructors are friendly and helpful and very welcoming and there is a really good mixture of people in each class - not many people are stereotype lycra bunnies so it is not intimidating!

Also Tom Lynas' Metafit classes on East Dulwich Grove are really good - they are interval training so even though the classes are only half an hour you get a very good work out- in the summer Tom does a class in Dulwich Park Tom's address is [email protected] The classes are only ?5 each and the first is free Tom also does personal training and is really good.

PM if you want any more comments

Thanks everyone, there is certainly a wide range of options to choose from! I have now been in touch with a couple of PTs and will also try out some of the classes you've mentioned, variety is the key for me! Many thanks again for your recommendations :-)

    • The amount of fireworks noise over a wide area last night couldn’t have just been teenagers messing around. I’m presuming that St. Andrew’s Day (or the eve of) has now been added the ever lengthening list of dates that some people feel need to be marked with ordnance. It doesn’t really matter whether the police or council is responsible for enforcement; if the launch site or the person lighting the touch-paper can’t be identified, how are they supposed to do anything? The only solution is to end the sale of fireworks to the public, which the Fire Brigades Union has lobbied for for decades. All governments since the ‘70s have resisted this. Otherwise, pressure local councils to withhold licenses to retailers. More regulation not less, which goes against the mantra of both Labour and Tories. I personally don’t give business to some local newsagents, who now spend a quarter of the year promoting the sale of fireworks.
    • Hi, Is the worktop timber?  I may have one, I need to check sizes later today.  Would a spade bit do or do you specifically want a hole saw?
    • But isn’t that massive construction effort the prerequisite to solve the housing problems?  or is there another way?
