I am here now. Queue is 20 deep and no packages from the 12th will be ready today so don't come if that's what you are collecting, they will be ready Monday.

That's strange, I picked up something (which was 'attempted delivery' on Friday 12th at 12:30) today (Saturday 13th) at 08:55 this morning. The queue was quite long then!

fine when i went today waited for around 15 minutes as there was a queue but got seen. around midday.

Seems to be shut again today. I thought this was their late opening evening. Does anyone know if the times have changed?

I don't think they open in the evening (ever) - Wednesday is when they open in the afternoon as well as the morning (and hence 'late' for them) - they were certainly open at about 4:30 this evening.

I'm just confused because the delivery card says they are open 8 - 8 on a Wednesday. Perhaps that's out of date?

Quite a few other cross looking people there as well!

Apologies, I thought they closed at 6:00. I know they did have a problem of staff sickness, but I had thought that was sorted.

I collected a parcel this morning

Opening times pinned on notice board were 6.30 am to 5.30 pm Mon thru Sat in the run up to Christmas

The card left also has opening times on it

Normally they open until 8pm on a Wednesday, but seems they are currently running on different hours up til Christmas. as above.

Was in there last week and someone was having a go at them for a delivery that hadn't shown up from Amazon, which is both pointless (it's not their fault) and not nice. Lovely guys in there, must be a stressful time of year and they seem understaffed, they've had some absence for sickness recently apparently. Shouting at them unlikely to help (not that anyone here would, I'm sure, it just made me feel bad for the stick they may be getting for things that aren't their fault).

They are really good round there- very polite and efficient.

They have always been super with me and not sure how shouting at them would be effective since the ones at the sorting office don't do the deliveries.

Never had any problems with any of the staff there.

Always friendly and helpful when I have been there to pick up anything.

Couldn't agree more: sylvester road sorting staff are charming, smiley, cheerful always. Sadly this time of year brings out the worst in people. Yesterday evening there was a woman being incredibly rude and demanding to the staff at the tills in cop-op on FH rd. Totally unnecessary.
