Can anybody offer any insight into what's on and worth experiencing this Hogmanay in ED? Ideally something low key that isn't ticketed / paid entry. Really just looking for a nice pub to enjoy a few cheekies in.

Any idea where? most places I've been to look like they're charging entry.

Ive House open until 2.00am, no charge.

I have been doing some research, The Actress is open till 1, no charge. The Clockhouse is doing some 1940s thing, no charge. Effra Social is free.

Great Exhibition is ?10 and tickets nearly sold out. Gowlett also is tickted and i think nearly sold out.

Anyone know about the EDT and Bishop?

Invite some pals over, have a party, walk (or bus) it to Dawson's Heights with some fizz and some glasses in a rucksack, climb to the top just before midnight, watch fireworks and drink fizz, then go home twenty minutes later. Works every time.
