Help with sideboard

ciare

Recommended Posts

I am hoping to buy a sideboard and have it delivered next Saturday, but the problem I have is I no one to carry it to my second floor flat. The sideboard is from a charity shop and the driver is only insured to the first floor and he may not have anyone with him, and I don't know if he will be fit so know he won't be able to do it on his own.

Does anyone know of any companies/individuals who just do moving, lifting furniture etc.

I live in Camberwell, thanks.

    • Thanks Sue.  No the car just drove on.  We don't know if they noticed.  We were driving behind.  We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞
    • Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.
    • That was very kind of you to take the cat to the vet. Did the car not stop?
    • This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4.  We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died.  They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so.  They were very kind.   He was a lovely cat, grey and white.  He must have died very quickly.  So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.
