Piano lessons in ED

I am looking for a good piano teacher in the ED area.

I'm probably around a Grade 6/7 -- I don't particularly know though as I never followed grades very closely. I have recently tackled Mozart's alla turca (still trying to get it up to speed) and working on Schubert's moment musicaux no. 3. I would love to accomplish a full Mozart or Beethoven sonata -- I have my heart set on either K331 or Pathetique, respectively.

I also have an interest in jazz piano, though that is somewhat secondary.

Anyways, any suggestions are welcome.

Hello - I recommend Sue Klein who teaches my 10 year-old son piano. Very kind, very calm and my son is making good and steady progress through the grades - but most importantly he enjoys the lessons. He's been going to Sue for about the last 2 years.

My son previously went to a much more 'full-on/high-pressured' teacher in the area which didn't suit him or us. So I highly recommend Sue.

    • I highly recommend James. I had a few sets of lights (indoor and outdoor) that were no longer working. I texted him yesterday afternoon about the problematic lights, and he had fixed them all by this morning! Very happy that he investigated the issues and found fixes, rather than immediately saying I needed to replace everything, which was the standard response by others. I had other electricians (many who are recommended on this forum) that came round to inspect the work and told me I'd need to replace the lot for a substantial cost. Extremely professional and prompt with very reasonable pricing.
    • Indeed and possibly because with such an extensive wish list as stated, it will be a nigh on impossible to achieve a suitable property for that budget, outside the Village or Alleyn Park area. Even then, all wishes being equal, it would need  > £3m to get a suitable  property.  Compromise  would seem appropriate therefore , which suggests rating each "wish" in order of priority.
    • Once they start talking about ‘electric mini buses’  and ‘cargo bikes’  you can see which demographic this is aimed at. not positive at all
    • Well ain't many of us who can afford to live in SE22 anymore.
