Help, my hyacinths are flopping

The hyacinths on my kitchen windowsill are coming out but they're already falling over and I'm having to prop them up. This always seems to happen so I must be doing something wrong. How do you keep your hyacinths upright?

Plants usually turn towards the light, so try regularly turning them...

A short length of stick and some string may help to prop them up, though admittedly doesn't look very good.

I think some hyacinths have sturdier stems than others so it may be worth trying a different variety next year.

But if they were bought already in pots, they have probably been forced for early flowering, and I suspect that may make them weak.

I've been turning them. Think it may be that there's so little light that they strain too hard at a crucial stage of development and get stuck as they're all flopping in different directions.

Doesn't the acidity of the soil affect the colour, like it does with Hydrangeas?..

Don't worry, Sue, it's a peeved troll.

Thanks for the advice. I think you may be right about them being weakened ny forcing and in a smallish pot. Will try planing my own next time.

They droop if it's too warm - around 60F is ideal.
