Childspace is a parent-run co-operative in a lovely bright roundhouse with access to a garden just off Brockwell Park, Tulse Hill. Parents are involved in every aspect of running the nursery and take on a variety of jobs providing stimulating and creative play.

We run small intimate sessions of only 7 children from the age of 14 months to 3 years. Each session is run by a fully trained nursery manager and one of the parents takes turns and works as a nursery assistant alongside our manager.

Childspace is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-2pm.

If you are looking for a warm and stimulating environment for your child and would love to get involved in a parent run nursery get in touch with us and arrange a viewing: [email protected]

Hello - just to give an update on this, should any parents be interested - we have some older children moving on from Childspace in September and younger ones waiting to join, but we do currently have a space available specifically for a child aged over 2. (Due to our small size and ratios we only have 3 children under 2 on any given day, and these spaces are all likely to be filled this autumn).

If you have a 2 year old or child turning 2 soon, live locally to Herne Hill, West Dulwich, Tulse Hill, etc and would be interested in finding out more about Childspace, we'd be happy to show you around.

My daughter is moving on to pre-school but I will really miss the time we've spent at Childspace - she's been so happy there and I've really appreciated the opportunity of being closely involved in her nursery and watching her development alongside that of her friends. It's a really rewarding experience.

    • We've been using Modern Milkman for six months or so.  Good and reliable service and intuitive website
    • The receptionist did request a phone call and there was an issue where seeing the symptoms would have been helpful , plus I had questions I wanted to ask - but I just got a text with very generic advice (e.g. if X happens, go to A&E).  You can definitely request routine appointments by phone. Perhaps it's at the doctor's discretion with same day ones.  Having said all that, I think it's a pretty good surgery compared to some.
    • I recommend Andy—he was punctual, tidy, resourceful, clear about timing and pricing, and did quality work at relatively short notice. I would use his services again and have already recommended him to friends.
    • You can still  request a phone appointment with a doctor, I think, if it's an issue you need to ask questions about? Or, I have had questions quickly answered by a GP  via their online system. Hopefully all this is teething problems, and the staff as well as patients are having to get to grips with a relatively new system. I can fully understand that it is much better all round if GP face to face appointments are saved for things that need a physical examination, and it must mean that patients who do need one  are seen more quickly than under the old system?
