klh
Hello - I am expecting a baby in March and am looking for a nursery from January 2016 when I will return to work. Can anyone recommend any good nurseries in Camberwell? I need somewhere that can stay open to around 6/6.30. Many thanks. Bonfire2010
We are in Camberwell and our son goes to Mother Goose on Greendale, SE5 (behind Sainsbury's). He's 4 now and has been going since he was 9 months old. He has been well looked after there and we have been happy with the care he has received. It opens at 7.30am and closes at 6.30pm. ACBP
1st Place Cambridge Houss near burgess park is excellent. My son has been there for a year in baby room and 2-5 room. Hours are 8-6 for ?55. About 10 mins walk from Camberwell green... cathy1983
I would recommend looking at the villa school and nursery... although they only take them from two if you want your child to attend later on you should put their name down when baby is born as the waiting list is about 2yrs. Crazy I know but I'm so grateful someone advised me to put my son on the list so early as it's such a lovely place! PK36
Hi klh,Another option is Heaven Sent Nursery (Despite the name, it's not religious) which is on Camberwell Church Street - just next to St Giles Church. Our daughter has been there since she was 6 months old and loves it. It doesn't look like much from the outside (think the previous occupant of the building was a bar/club), but is nice and bright inside and has a good sized garden at the back which they use every day (weather permitting). The staff are lovely and caring and our daughter has really developed in the time she has been there. Opening hours are 7.30am - 7pm.PK36 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/53205-nursery-recommendations-camberwell/#findComment-812916 Share on other sites
Yak
Another vote for first place. Also it's worth putting your baby's name down for the Villa for post 2 care, so you have that option down the line Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/53205-nursery-recommendations-camberwell/#findComment-813069 Share on other sites
loulou26573
First Place Cambridge House, or Chumleigh site in Burgess Park. Two kids there, absolutely love it. alaska721
When I lived in Camberwell I sent my daughter to the Villa nursery and she absolutely thrived there. As mentioned before they only take children from two onwards and you would need to register your child ASAP. I registered my daughter as soon as she was born and she got a place at the nursery shortly after she turned two.
