Gooders79
We used David atherton for our 18mo he was very useful think us was out of the Cromwell? The dermatology nurse specialist was very useful also who has clinics in burbage road practice but I think we had to wait for a few weeks for that review Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/53266-dermatologist-recommendation-required/#findComment-813152 Share on other sites
gebbjane
Second the dermatology nurse at burbage rd practice, referral via your GP, we only waited a couple of weeks for that appointment. Via the nurse we then got to see Dr Elisabeth Higgins at kings a couple of weeks later. If this isn't an option I recommend dr Higgins - she runs private practice out of the Lister Hospital. Mariamadeit
I also recommend Dr Higgins, after my son was admitted to hospital due to excema, we have been seeing her regularly (on NHS) she is very efficient and definitely knows what she is talking about. bluegoo
Also, I found the perceived wisdom of daily bedtime routine (bath, story, bed) for little ones to be a killer on little ones' skin. London water is hard and I just don't think it is good advice - babies don't need daily baths. When I changed to once/twice a week all skin problems cleared. Even now they are older (7 and 10) if they shower daily little problem areas will return and I scale back to 3 times/week. Not clinical advice, just my experience. Bonfire2010
That's interesting bluegoo...hadn't really considered that as we don't use any bath products for either of my kids. Have been referred by my GP who assures me we will be seen quickly. The GPs at our practice can't agree on what is wrong. Fingers crossed we get things sorted out quickly.
