Love West Dulwich Needs You!

Love West Dulwich is an alliance of West Dulwich businesses and residents working together to put this fab corner of Dulwich on the map. You can find out more about Love West Dulwich at www.facebook.com/lovewestdulwich or on twitter @lovewestdulwich.

Following the success of our launch event and Christmas Fair, we are now starting to plan our Spring Fair on Saturday 16 May.

Forming part of the fantastic Dulwich Festival, the Love West Dulwich Spring Fair promises to be bigger and better then our previous events.

We would love to get more people involved, after all many hands make light work! If you share a desire to put West Dulwich on the map and can offer time/skills/ideas then we would love for you to jump onboard.

We are meeting at 6pm on Tuesday 20th January at The Rosendale pub for a chance to get to know each other and have a brainstorming session - pulling together ideas for the event, gauging what skill sets we have amongst us, and allocating initial tasks and roles. It will be very informal, but a vital first step towards making the next event even more successful than last.

Also, from Wednesday 21st January we will recommence our Love West Dulwich Wednesday morning meetings. The meetings take place at the Volcano Coffee Shop (situated within the Park Hall Trading Estate, 40 Martell Road, SE21 8EN). Obviously, not everyone can make it every week, but these meetings have proved a useful way to keep each other in touch with what we are all doing for Love West Dulwich. They start at 9.15 and we aim to finish by 10.00. You are all very warmly invited to attend as and when you can.

I really hope you?ll all be able to join us for a drink on Tuesday, but if not, then see you at a meeting soon!

Many thanks

Dan

Even if that were true, how is that relevant - the fact is that West Dulwich has an event and it would be lovely and neighbourly to get some support and input from ED businesses and residents....

    • Kam was with us last week to wallpaper a bedroom. He was a pleasure to deal with and did a fantastic job - very neat and matched the tricky pattern very well. Would certainly use again.
    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661
    • Sadly, but not unreasonably, councils find it difficult to justify such expenditure on their current budgets. My family, which does like fireworks have been enjoying the displays by those still with disposable wealth by viewing them from Hilly Fields. Other hills (Dawson Heights) are available. For children who have autumn and winter birthdays, a firework display is some consolation for their birthday climate. My grandchildren, being summer babies, can enjoy garden parties and picnics. Without the need for explosions and dazzling display.
