It's only recently come to my attention that Peter Walsh has retired from his position of headmaster at Forest Hill boys. He's been there for 36 years and is a legend in his own trousers. I remember when I was in year nine and he was finally made head and he openly wept on the stage and none of us thought any less of him and the applause was deafening. He's being succeeded by my old form tutor Steve Brady who will doubtlessly carry the torch and do a sterling job in steering the school but needless to say I'm sure Walsh will make the odd unannounced visit to keep the next slap head in charge on his toes. All jokes aside I wish you all the best in your retirement and I'm my mind you'll always be 'Sir'.

    • Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.
