Lolamaxx
Hello,I have a lovely (very pregnant!) friend, her partner and their 2.5 year-old coming to visit for Sunday lunch in East Dulwich... Can anyone recommend a place that's child-friendly and relaxed? Happy to edge as far as Peckham, but not further as we'll be on foot. Thanks! Specklemum
Can second the suggestions above. We also find the Clockhouse and Cafe Rouge (depending what end of E Dulwich you are) are good toddler-friendly options. Bonfire2010
I'd also recommend the Victoria Inn on Bellenden Road, but I'd book a table as they get very busy on Sundays. I think they have two sittings - one around 12ish and the other around 2ish.If you are not bothered about having a roast, Pizza Express (Herne Hill or the Village) are both child friendly. KGastaldo
I second the Clockhouse (I actually meet my antenatal class there before brunch). I also would recommend The Great Exhibition - the food is great and there are always families there. stacker285
We had a fantastic roast at The Herne on sunday (only criticism was that it needed more gravy!). They are very relaxed re children and have play area outside (weather permitting). Another advantage is that the playground in peckham rye park is not far away. Susan
I have to say for a totally relaxed Sunday lunch out with kids you cannot beat Rocco in the Village, plus the food is good and there are options to suit all. Good idea to bookSusan Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/53767-best-places-to-feed-a-toddler-in-east-dulwichvery-nearby/#findComment-818159 Share on other sites
Bonfire2010
Aah - yes, meant to suggest Rocca as well! We had Xmas lunch there and it was lovely. Quite roomy, good food and the staff are lovely. As Susan says, it's a good idea to book as it gets busy. Lolamaxx
All very helpful comments - thanks a lot! I'm thinking the Clock House or maybe even venturing as far as the Horniman, so we can go for a walk and then go to the cafe...THANKS all!
