Ref. Alan Medic

Well that is Your Thread.. Your.. post...

Its a sensitive issue..

Do you think it would be appropriate to start adding Numbers to Your.. thread.

My reference to 'never have anything Positive, Constructive , Interesting, Relative to say in any thread'

meant existing threads. Other peoples Threads. Ones that don't interest you.

The ones you show contempt for. The ones you and your 'mates' your 'gang' wish to mock.

Do you get it now...

DF

DF, no thread is MY thread, nor yours for that matter. Do you not realise that the number of posts that reach a multiple of 100 could happen on ANY thread be it interesting or not to me and my 'gang'.

You really are writing a load of horse poo. Now sod off. I'm trying to start a clique while working out how to post on a thread that doesn't exist...

PS It's not my gang by the way.

I'd say triple.BTW it currently stands at -90 to lift off.

Please PM me regarding the next secret meeting of the numbers club. Everyone in disguise as usual I suppose?

Amazing how a niche, almost irrelevant "game" has become a hot point

My take. When you see a reference to 100, 1000, 3200 or whatever just smile indulgently or go green with jealousy and move on

But Mike P grand naga is surely correct when he says his carefully curated curry club thread has become infected with niche debate, In-jokes and back biting. One can see how it organically develops but equally it don't belong in some places.

In a lounge thread where people are debating.... Merits of cheese on toast? Football matches? A judicious number interjection is amusing

In the curry thread when potential newbies are mustering resources to tag along, an outbreak of selective banter is off putting at best.

SJ, I'd like to point out that the infection you refer to would never have turned into a debate if it wasn't for the great chief himself. Secondly, who are these newbies that are going to be scared off by a number? Why would they be? There may be many reasons as to why someone might or might not attend a curry night but I hardly think they are going to be put off an a number which might have been totally ignored.

The selective banter you refer to is because the chief chose to express his upset that his club thread was used by a pair of muppets (not his words) who play a silly game. The only thread which I think deserves some reverence is the Chapel of Rest. None other.

If you don't like it, I'm sorry. The reactions and insults on here have been over the top and are more of a reflection of the people who expressed them than someone who is silly enough to play a numbers game and get some sort of satisfaction out of it.

Amazing or amusing? Fook me some people* need to get a sense of perspective, it's a poxy game on a poxy local internet forum at the end of the day, anyone else finding this a mixture of hilarious and sad??? We've got ISIS, Ebola and all sorts of crap going on in the real and this merits this?? Really. Pathetic really.

*not you SJ

I haven't but I'd love to know its relevence to a local forum where some muppets (as definfed by someone else) write numbers for fun(debateable). Is there a connection?

Oh yeah? Wanna take it outside?

SJ, he started it a while back. Not just on this occasion. So get off the fence please or read the holy thread. Just because potential new curry club 'members' may be considering it, does not mean they are new to the forum.

Which bit is unnecessary? The number posting or the response? You can't agree with everyone.

    • Surprise, surprise. It didn't take them long, did it. This will be something of a test as to how much the council really care about parks and the environment. A footfall of 60,000. Are they mad? There is no way this park is designed for or can sustain that sort of use.
    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.
