I seem to remember a brief phase of lynx in early teens as adolescent-boy smell needed nullifying and I thought of lynx as dead-grown-up: one of those "marketed as the grown-up option so that teens trying to be grown-up will buy it"...

...kind-of like FHM/maxim/nuts/zoo: accessible intro to soft porn for teenagers... (well, they're certainly not selling for the standard of their features-writing, are they?)

I used to wear lynx at school, many years ago, now the smell of it seems to invade my lungs and choke me.

the shower gel is ok though, for something cheap and cheerful after cycling or the gym.

Sean, your comment about a younger rent boy caused a 'lol' or two...

No need to :s at me... do sarcasm and own opinions mean nothing these days? :p

This is a hidden "lynx" back story.....yes we all know it's aimed at the spray it eveywhere "cos i'm goin' on the pull" geezer brigade, well it's cheap and was designed to out shine a haze of Marlborough lights back in the bad ol' days when pubs & cigs had a happy union.......all well and good, I'm sure many a STD comes with the memory of that smell attached......

However there is big and ardent fan of the "Lynx" spray, mainly old,old geezers at the gymn..(David Lloyds) .... in thier 'Autumn years" & with a few quid now, who cloud the changing rooms with the stuff, not a body part is missed......none at all..........but the part that gives me the "shiver" most is the signet rings, the shredded wheat hair & the Lynx.... they kinda go together...a comforting nostalgia & a blast of youth all there in a cheap spray on.......

*......creeps out..... birthday today..... can see the future.now......off to gymn...*

I thought this was more the terrain of the likes of Joop and CK1?

You would think so wouldn't you, but no retired cabbies and diamond geezers from back in the day love a blast of the Lynx, (even it's feline brand name sticks in your head)............"go on to ya' be lucky sunshine" a wink & the flash off a gold tooth.... as they fragrantly trail out the of locker room...

Almost nostalgic.........oh weepy........& I'm a grown man...(honest)

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.

    • I don't think a single all-inclusive URL is easily doable.  When you enter a search the system presents the result without any of one's search parameters added to the URL.  So I suggest you go to https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/search.do?action=advanced where you just need to enter the address -- use SE22 8EW -- and the  Date Received start date.  I used 1/1/2025.  The three Tesco applications, all minor things, were all made in May.  The Simple search that I'd done previously had no time limit, and didn't include anything else that might have been from Tesco in the last two years. Incidentally, when I searched on the address 29-35 Lordship Lane it did not pick up the Tesco applications, which were held as 29 - 35 Lordship Lane Grrr!
