New York, Boston, Cape Cod, Washington - any recommendations?

Recommended Posts

We've got our honeymoon coming up and whilst we've got our accommodation sorted, we're still after recommendations for restaurants, bars, things to see in the above destinations.

We've got 6 nights in New York, 3 in Washington, 3 in Boston, 3 in Cape Cod and then 2 back in New York before flying home.

Look forward to hearing from you.

For Washington - there are loads of great free museums and art galleries along the Mall, along with the monuments - definitely worth a visit.

If you want shopping/nice restaurants Georgetown is lovely.

I would also definitely recommend brunch at the Tabard Inn which is a Washington institution - very cosy with a nice bar area around a fire if you fancy a glass of something beforehand.

In New York, a helicopter tour from the downtown heliport. I've been to NY plenty of times but my husband booked it as part of a wedding anniversary trip. It was amazing. We had good weather but it would have been fun whatever. Definitely worth doing for a special trip and worth the money.

In Washington, as part of a wander through Memorial Park to sights like the Lincoln Memorial, take the time to walk all round the (circular)Washington War Memorial. Pick one exhibit at the Smithsonian (or you'll be there all day and get museum overload) and go to Ben's Chilli Bowl on U Street.

Amazing, we did a similar route for our honeymoon in 2012....

Whale watching off Provincetown in Cape Cod.

A ball game at Fenway Park in Boston - great atmosphere / iconic even if you don't understand the rules!

Spotted Pig in NYC.

Burgers....pretty much anywhere

All of it will be great, enjoy.

This not-for-profit, worker-run, wheelchair accessible music and arts venue at 213-214 Edward Place SE8 5HD THE CRISIS: From Liv, Grace & Sonia, On Friday 31st October, there was a flash flood in Deptford, and we found ourselves with water pouring in through the lighting fixtures, damaging our electrics and sound system. We have been forced to close for one of the busiest weekends of the year, losing thousands of pounds in income, and are now having to fight our landlords for support with the leak. Thank you in advance for your support so far, and your support going forward.
