Cat flu

Wasn't sure if this is worth posting but I took one of our cats to the vet this week as he was sneezing. It looks like it's cat flu, despite them being vaccinated and the vet mentioned it's going round at the moment.

Apparently it's spread by direct contact, sharing bowls etc and I know that we've had a few interlopers getting beyond the cat flap so I thought it might be prudent to warn other ED cat owners.

Both our cats are now quite sniffly and poorly.

As soon as I see 'cat' in the title, I want to run. In your case I can see it's genuine. I don't have an answer but wish you good luck & hope you find one x

If your cats are microchipped you can buy a sureflap which will only let your own cats into the house. Expensive compared to a standard cat flap but really work well.

Cats do get colds from time to time. Innoculation is against the most dangerous form of cat flu. A bit like humans really who regualrly get colds and think they have flu!
