Housekeeper needed SE27

Hi EDFers,

Our cleaner of 10 years is leaving the country to go back to her homeland and I am on the lookout for someone asap. We are a busy family of five (and a dog) looking for a housekeeper/ cleaner for eight hours a week (split into two days). We need someone organised, trustworthy and very professional.

The job includes all cleaning and managing some of the household laundry (washing, folding and ironing). Generally helping to keep the house clean and tidy. There is plenty to do with three small kids around.

Here is more of a list of what comes to mind but we can discuss at interview stage:

Cleaning and tidying - the usuals (dusting, hoovering, mopping)

Change bed sheets once a week and wash/iron

Load/unload dishwasher

Ironing clothes as needed

Folding clothes and putting them away

Laundry

References are essential and recommendations very welcome.

Please let me know if you are interested

Thank you

Im very lucky to have met Izzy on here... she does all of the above and more for our family.

I work from home running a busy photoagency, i have teenagers and a really hectic life. Izzy keeps everything in great order. For the first time in a long time there is light at the end of the washing pile !

I can highly highly recommend her. I have experienced the best and worst of cleaners and housekeepers and am happy to say Izzy is the best. I have already recommended her to 2 good friends who are both employing her too now.

Pm me for her number or contact her here izabelka007

Best wishes

Kim

    • To be honest, pal, it's not good being a fan of a local business and then not go there. One on hand, the barber shop literally next door to Romeo Jones started serving coffee. The Crown and Greyhound and Rocca serve coffee. Redemption Coffee opened up not far away, and then also Megan's next door to that. DVillage was serving coffee (but wasn't very popular), as was Au Ciel (which is). Maybe also Heritage Cheese, I don't know. There's also Flotsam and Jetsam doing coffee and sandwiches at Dulwich Picture Gallery in the other direction. The whole of Dulwich Village serves coffee. And yet on the other hand, there are enough punters to support all good coffee shops. With the exception of Rocca and Megan's (which are both big spaces) and C&G (which does coffee like everything else - slow and with bad service), all these places regularly get queues out the door. Gail's often has big queues and yet very few people crossed the street to Romeo Jones (which was much better)... Half the staff at Gail's are perfectly fine and efficient. The other half are pretty offhand and rude. It's certainly not welcoming or friendly service. But they're certainly hard working, and no doubt raking the money in for Luke Johnson...
    • Well according to a newspaper article, Gail’s is opening 10 shops in London,,, yup Dulwich is named 10/5 I seem to recall with others in London opening at 7 am…!, Guess that is to capture workers coming off all night shift. Offering free mince pies until they run out.. So very sad to hear about Romeo Jones… been a customer since the opening, any idea where Patrick has gone or details… please pm me.    What is going to be in its place…. Will be around in Jan…umm village is changing….
    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
    • Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all.  I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
