TheArtfulDogger
It occurred to me tonight when travelling home and fancying a Chinese takeaway, with the recent closure of three takeaways on Barry Parade, the Indian, the Chinese and the pan pizza, does this now make residents around that area healthier as they can no longer get their favourite takeaways so easily or they have to walk to the next nearest one ? It's a possible positive side effect of loosing three good takeaways but the negative is I had to cook my own Singapore noodles tonight :-( The other positive is I used the Ganapati delivery service last night, taking me out of my comfort zone into food heaven. numbers
Dearest Artful, There are no positive side effects to losing the wonderful Yee Wah on Barry road. From the ever so slightly-surly on the surface yet absolute diamond-on-the-inside, efficient guy who took the orders to the bitingly hot salt & chilli tofu, this place was a gem and no mistake. Hadn't tried the pizza parlour and the Indian place was oh-kay once but quality was inconsistent. Anyway, don't moan about having to cook your own Singapore noodles tonight. You had Ganapati delivery service last night, so just shurrup boasting about your food heaven. Of course I'm not jealous!
