Dear all,

I am a practising midwife and I run group antenatal courses.

There are 2 spaces available on the refresher course I am running on September 15th and 22nd. If you are expecting your second (or third) child and would like a bit of brush up on labour, what to expect as a mother of 2 and tips to prepare you and your toddler for the new arrival, do not hesitate to get in touch! The course is informative, fun and full of useful information.

Hi everyone...

It has been a while.. How are the September early October mothers getting on?

Might be good to set up a meeting for November? If mothers brave enough to come out? Mothers still to be should also join to hear the good, bad and ugly of our experiences....

Interested?

Hi there. I've just joined this forum and seen your messages. Have a five day old so only just starting to think about leaving the house but would love to make some local mum friends if it's possible to join your next meet up!? Let me know when and where! Many thanks. Lou

Hi Autumn babies parents,

Hope you don't mind me writing in here but as your babies are coming up to weaning age I thought you might be interested in the baby led weaning workshops we offer in East Dulwich on a monthly basis. The next one is on March 9th 12:30-2:30pm at the Goose Green Centre and there a re a few spaces left. More info here http://www.littleoneled.com/workshops

Hi All, I wanted to recommend our current childminder Linda. She has level 3 childcare and first aid training, is incredibly flexible, understanding and really reasonably priced. She didn't charge us for settling in and told me not to worry if I was ever late collecting. She's a 7min walk from either Peckham rye or Queens Road and you can park and leave your car at the house. Every day she takes the children to a playgroup and has loads of great toys at home. She has a space coming up in September if you are interested pl get in touch with her on 07956 166251.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
