red devil
I had the same problem yesterday, everything was ok then when I checked the thread a few hours later the image had diasappeared with a caption saying it wasn't available. Added a new photo and everything seems to be ok now though, maybe it's down to the source... mockney piers
Many sites don't like people deep linking to their photographs as it can increase bandwidth depending upon the popularity of the (linking) site.I'm sure the EDF won't do any harm, but something like Digg or Slashdot can cause sites to go down (see slashdot effect).Hence some sites automatically deal with deeplinks by changing the names of files, replacing them with very small placeholders (blue question mark perhaps, more commonly 1 pixel gif) or even removing them completely, thus disappearing images here. Not alot you can do, though one tactic is to put said photo on something like flickr and use flickr to host it. Or save image as.., upload it to forum and do the linking to your attachment technique. (seeds threads passim in the About this forum... for how to) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5590-dear-admin-my-pics-keep-becoming-question-marks-can-you-explain/#findComment-179645 Share on other sites
