B&G
Such a nice little stretch of road. I spoke to the builders at L'Auberge yesterday and it is the French Cafe that's moving up a couple houses. I wonder what it'll go in it's place? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/56599-lauberge/page/2/#findComment-840106 Share on other sites
Pickle
I'm pretty sure the French Cafe is staying where it is, and the owner is opening a separate venture on the new site (I spoke to her a month or so ago and that's the impression I got). Frankie G
I often see Sami around the parade,, he is a regular, with one of his sons at Si Manga and is still as lovely and polite as he always was. bambina87
Yes the french cafe is moving up a few doors. I wonder what the laundry and the old betting office will become? there were rumors of a bakery/deli. could do with some new food places on the parade Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/56599-lauberge/page/2/#findComment-840384 Share on other sites
Nigello
?? Is the cafe moving or is it opening a new venture? I have heard both versions. I hope it is the latter: a French caff and a French restaurant on the same strip would be great. As for the bookies' and the laundry, does anyone have any news? DulwichFox
Not a Caf? type but recently tried the French Caf? have been a couple of times since.. I really like the intimate surroundings and compactness.. The simplicity. No buggies. .. and now it's moving to what I assume is a larger ? space.. ? Shame :( DulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/56599-lauberge/page/2/#findComment-840571 Share on other sites

simonethebeaver
But it might be even better in its new home, so why be disappointed in advance? Give it a chance. That's what I mean about negative. My apologies for the misnomer. MrBen
Simone. You may not call him Fox as this is a sign of disrespect. However you may call him either Sir Duke Fox or Lord Fox depending on the occasion. DulwichFox
I am DulwichFox or Foxy (Depends on subject matter) Fox is fine when used affectionately / or when expressing agreement... IE. 'Yer that's right Fox' but not when used derisively.. It's like how you should address anyone on the forum. With respect. Even if you don't agree with their view. simonethebeaver
I can assure you it was only intended as a shortening of your name with no disrespect whatsoever. I find your tone a bit aggressive - I am not someone who has ever been rude to you and my initial post was intended to be jokily helpful as I have seen you post before that you don't see why people call you negative. I have always thought rather highly of you as you once did me a great favour that meant a lot. I will do my best to avoid offending you in future but I never meant to do it in the first place. DulwichFox
Spoke to the staff in the French Caf? this morning... It seems they will be moving as soon as possible. Work in progress at L'Auberge .. It would also seem they are not keeping the present place on. ? Foxy.
