no more bile and vitriol please... come on children, enough is enough xxcc

Recommended Posts

Pleased I threw that piece of vitriol away from my heart.

Let's use this thread as a way of being uselessly mean-spirited and having halitosis of the soul.

A large tip of my hat to Charlies. But with no particular responsibilty on their/her part.

As Bonnie Tyler once remarked there was nothing she could do because she reckoned there was a total eclipse of the heart.

But then once upon a time she reckoned she was falling in love, and then opined she was falling apart.

She's neither.

Bonnie, we both know exactly what and who you are, don't we?

Don't make me start swearing, cursing and putting sin on my soul.

My sentiments exactly! I wondered if HB had been doing some trials for 'Favourite Real Ales or Lagers" thread,

but hey... live and let live, that's my view(tu)

Of course and I thank you for taking the trouble. And thanks for calling me sweetie pie.

Although in the spirit of the bile and vitriol thread I trust you slept the restless sleep of the damned.

Nothing personal, you understand.

Are you suggesting that I was in drink when I posted?

I had taken sufficient libation to bring me to the highest possible level of wit and philosophical insight known to man.

I swear there was just a fag paper between me and Bertrand Russell last night.

Can I cheerily call you a cock-chafer's armpit without causing offence?

In the spirit of the thread of course.

Let's use this as a Switzerland-like neutral zone, which Charlies has been good enough to start.

We can insult and throw expletives at each other. Only in this thread though. And only in the the context of this thread.

Whether the subject under discussion is politics, music, literature or anything else.

Robust Anglo-Saxon or indeed any language should be permitted. Perhaps a warning would be apt.

And what is posted here, stays here.

What is said here is not necessarily the sincerely held opinion of the poster.

Let's see what happens.

Bloody hell, what about that CharlieCharlie? What's she up to starting a 'bile and viriol' thread?

Shit-stirring cow or what?

oh deary, deary me... what have I started... was not what I intended at all>:D<

off to the footie now...

looks like the score is going to be

Woofmarkthedog team - 6 (2 of which were home goals, put in the back of the net by charliecharlie)

Peaceandlove team (with team captain charliecharlie in particularly poor form) - a resounding ZERO

I can't speak for anyone else Giggi, but I'm just doing my best to be high on life itself.

And I've just realised that on this 'bile and vitriol', thread I'd find it difficult, to the point of impossibility to throw something bilious or vitriolic in your direction.

What with you being UberChick in the Bandwagon Chicks Sorority and all that.

Any insults even in jest would only leave my lips in the most half-hearted fashion and arrive to you as the sort of butterly-kiss compliment you receive every day.

It's a dilemma and a half I tell you.

Bloody bastard hell, what was that CharlieCharlie thinking about when she started this thing up?

Only if I can call you a pompous self gratifying pretentious prick in the spirit of this thread HB.

if you trace the geniology of the bile and vitriol concept, you will clearly see that it stems from Woofmarkthedog's original thread 'What on earth has happened....'

I'm, of course, happy to take the credit for it, smug b*tch that I am, as....

Oh Charlies, pack it in, you enormous WALLY. No room on a B&V thread for love and peace maunderings.

To change the subject, that Moos can be a cheeky prat when she puts her mind to it.

    • There’s definitely something in what you say about upbringing, environment, and emotional health. It doesn’t excuse the behaviour, but it might help explain it. I do think low intelligence likely played a role here. People who aren’t taught to value life, whether human or natural, often end up reacting with hostility to the things they don’t understand or appreciate. It’s a sad reflection of both neglect and ignorance. Your suggestion of rehabilitation through something like woodland conservation or sapling planting is actually a lovely and meaningful idea. Let’s hope something good can come of their sentence, though I won’t be holding my breath. Looking forward to meeting you in person at the Forum drinks tonight, and fingers crossed Jasonlondon makes it too. His terrible neighbours really are quite the story.

At 10:30 Bogotá, 11:30 New York, 16:30 London, 17:30 Paris, 21:00 New Delhi, join the closing ceremony live from the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony will feature Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia; Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories; Zane Dangor, Director General of South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation; Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla, Executive Secretary of The Hague Group; and Fillemon Wise Immanuel, Minister of Justice and Labour Relations of Namibia. The centrepiece of the ceremony will be the reading of the Joint Statement — the result of deliberation among participating governments. This statement will echo far beyond Bogotá. It marks a turning point in the global campaign to hold Israel accountable, protect the Palestinian people, and restore the rule of international law. Join us to witness this historic moment. • We had the roof on our Victorian terrace replaced in 2023 and were charged just under £12,000, which included new slates, battens, breathable membrane, leadwork, and scaffolding. The cost was mainly due to the complexity of working on an older property and ensuring everything met current building standards.
