help needed to drain a pond

Can anyone recommend someone to drain the water from a small pond. We have just moved to a new house but have a two-year old, so need to have the water removed ASAP prior to undertaking a garden refurb.

Does it have fish in it? Maybe someone could do it to get the fish :)

Don't forget you could probably turn the pond once emptied and cleaned out into a great sandpit for your child.

Can't you just stab some holes in the lining and let it slowly drain away?

It's very small and no fish sadly! Just an annoying algae covered 4m x 1m drowning hazard in my opinion... It cuts the garden in half so we'd like to turf over it ideally. I'll see if we can cut through the lining, thanks Jeremy for the idea. It's only about a foot deep so that should hopefully be easily done.

Hire a pump for the day: plug in, put the discharge pipe down a drain and job done in a few hours!
