I'm not litigious. But I do like pies. Clearly

I haven't watche a Bill Hicks DVD for years now. And that includes some of the ones I bought which were rare for years (the expanded Sane Man for instance)

But the latter 2 cds (the ones with dodgy music - Arizon Bay and Rant in E Minor) are not bad for relaxing in a bath to

Wheras the 3 Stewart Lee DVDs are watched as often as decency allows. Which in the case of the middle DVD, decency will never allow

"Charlie Brooker's Newswipe tonight, BBC4, 10.30, for an interesting, funny and thought provoking half hour."

Excellent as usual. "Enjoy that, it tastes of tears"

Brooker for PM I say, he's the only man who talks sense any more.

Though the soundtrack was intrusive and bloody irritating in a minor gripe to truly excellent television.

The trusty Sky+ box is currently the home of the Brooker so that's a tba although I trust it's a inda Screenwipe News Weekly, and although this week's Stuart Lee effort was down on last weeks it wa still better than 99% of the rest of telly; I lol'd as I believe the young people say.

Although I remain the Lord Of The Dance Settee.

I. Remain, of the dance settee, the lord.

Better than 99%, I remain lord, of the dance settee.

I remain lord of the dance settee, even with insects in the berry brown face of Robert Kilroy-Silk who isn't, to my knowledge, Lord of the Dance Settee.

Kilroy, berry brown face, of the dance settee.

I think the telly show's great myself but each to his/her own.

Given Littlejohns latest postscript in todays column

"Fourteen workers at the Chinese factory that makes iPhones have committed suicide.

In Britain, elf ?n? safety would have closed the plant for years while the windows were hermetically sealed; every employee would be given compulsory counselling and issued with hard-hats and hi-viz protective clothing. Blame Direct would be pumping out claims for com-pen-say-shun.

The Chinese have come up with a simpler solution, which keeps the production lines running. They have rigged up giant nets to stop workers jumping to their deaths.

Back of the net!"

It must be time (yet again) for Stew's little john routine

just shy of 6 mins in for the littlejohn bit but watch the whole thing

    • some titles are "protected" ie you have to have certain qualifications and be registered with the supervising council https://www.hcpc-uk.org/about-us/who-we-regulate/the-professions/ Dietician is registered and protected Nutricionist is neither. Anyone can claim to be a nutricionist or chiropracter etc
    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
