This could be sublime - your average City accountant sneaking in wearing ripped combats and stick-on dreads, only to encounter a perfectly turned out crowd of protesters shooting their double-cuffs at them.

I am deliberating about joining the march, one part of it is leaving from London Bridge Station at 11.30

(but I have to be back at the studio by 4.00 for a meeting... not very rebellious I know!)

Do you think I am asking for trouble? I would like to go for the first few hours and then head back to London Bridge via the back streets...

do you think I will make it back in time?? (and in one piece?)

advice please... oh wise ones....

anyone come with me???

BACK A HORSE

The Four Horsefolk of the Apocalypse will lead the carnival parades. Converge from 11 a.m. to move off at 11.30 from these rail stations:

?Moorgate Red horse: War

?Liverpool St Green horse: Climate chaos

?London Bridge Silver horse: Financial crimes

?Cannon Street Black horse: home, land, equality and self sufficiency in honour of the 360th full circle anniversary to the day of the Diggers and their claim: THE LAND: A COMMON TREASURY FOR ALL!

Each parade will have fitting music and many in costume. Bring flags. Bring tea making facilities (including water and kindling). A map of the city, incase you get lost. And cake. You can't have a revolution without cake.

We have a choir, a jazz outfit, a samba band and a protest muscian's collective. We invite all musicians to come and join in at the bank.

    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
    • MaryT, I’ve contacted the Dulwich Hill councillors several times in recent years, always copying them both in. I have never had an acknowledgment from Jon Hartley (not even an automated response or out-of-office) nor had any response or engagement from him regarding the issue raised.   On each occasion, only Maggie Browning responded (she uses an out-of-office if she is away). The last time, I received no response from either for 3 months, until Maggie Browning emailed me to apologise for not responding and asking if the problem had been resolved.
    • The  Kwasi effect is being considered.
