Garden Centres

I'm very familiar and supportive of the smattering of local garden centres we have in/around SE22, but I'm seeking recommendations for larger, more cost-effective destinations to support a major overhaul of our garden, albeit without having to venture *too* far out our SE London... I've found Eden Park Garden Centre in Beckenham, which looks pretty good - does anyone know of it? All/any help welcome! Thanks.

Wyevale on the Purley Way (past Ikea) is quite large and not too far. My satnav found a better way than I usually go.

Shannons in Forest Hill is OK but smaller, but the staff are helpful.

The very best one, which is about a 35/40 min drive is Coolings, near Sevenoaks.

There's also Coolings Knockholt. It is down in Kent, although if you're planning to buy a load and travelling by car or van then it is OK to reach. I got a huge 12' fuschia last year for ?5. It's a nursey I think to explain the prices.

And for cheap pots there's a place in Woodmansterne Lane in fact there are loads of places on that road.

There is a garden centre in West Dulwich opposite Cafe Rouge it is tucked away down a drive. Also there is one in Croxted Road at the bottom on right leading into Hearn Hill.

Crocus are/is also excellent for mail order plants in my experience.

Good quality plants very well packaged, and excellent customer service. Much better than other mail order plants I have had in the past.
