  1. Another recommendation for Tim / Sakura Tree Services. Efficient, polite, tidy, cost effective.
  2. Water seems to have returned...
  3. Hillcourt Road. Anyone else???
  4. Live locally. Found out about this years festival yesterday. Have made plans to head down with friends on Saturday. Just discovered it's sold out. Gutted. Tessie - any chance of a couple of comps, please??
  5. Thanks all for the recommendations. Ended up going to Rocket on Rye Lane. Robbie - the owner - gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a long while, and for just ?20. Phlox - the likes of Willies B (who I've given up on), Myla & Davis (good, but way out of my price bracket), and others.
  6. As my hair recedes I'm seemingly (and somewhat ironically) having to get it cut more often than ever before in order to keep it in check. As such I'm rather loathed to keep forking out ?35+ every 5 weeks or so, and am therefore seeking recommendations for the best 'cost-effective' hairdressers in East Dulwich/immediate surrounding area. Thanks in advance!
  7. Who'd have thought that such a prolonged period of alternate wind direction would be so life changing...
  8. Knocked on my door as well. Left abruptly when I declined the offer to sponsor his 100 penalty shoot-out. Thanks for advising that this is a scam. Hopefully someone will notify the police of this should he be doing the rounds again tomorrow...
  9. Still seeking more recommendations and/or an experienced company to help with this, please.
  10. Thought he did still work in the Galleon as he cut my wife's hair recently... Otherwise I occasionally see him in the gym so will let him know you're trying to track him down...
  11. Seeking quotes for someone/a company with experience to renovate our small courtyard, the primary focus being on the ground work. I can lend my services as/where requires in order to help bring down the cost. Thanks.
  12. Highly recommended local builder/painter/decorator - Mark Longhurst. Mark has a done a number of jobs for us over the past few years, including extensive decoration, installation of a Victorian door partition, bedroom carpentry work, and more. He is meticulous in his approach to all he does, is polite, professional, punctual, and a general pleasure to deal with. We certainly intend on using him again for any future home improvement requirements. His contact details are as follows: Mobile: 07531 946 312 Email: [email protected] Please feel free to message me with any questions.
  13. Ditto the above - Bo & Mac are always a pleasure to deal with :)
  14. Approx 4m X 5m. Company recommendations and/or quotes would be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. Need to arrange a building/structural survey of our house in SE22. Recommendations for local companies and approx target cost indications would be appreciated. Thanks.

  18. Posted this the other day - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-35378499 Here's hoping it proves a success and is rolled out across London / the country ASAP.
  19. Let's hope this proves a success and comes to ED ASAP - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-35363991
  20. Considering the high winds tonight here's hoping this posting doesn't turn out to be in (weather)vain... I need a competent person/s to remove a very tall tv aerial that's attached to a chimney breast at the back of our house in SE22. Access to the roof and said aerial is pretty straight forward, I just need someone who is experienced in scaling roofs. Thanks.

  22. Seeking suitable venues and 'open until' times of places to grab late night drinks in Peckham & ED on a Saturday night, please. Thanks.
  23. Still in need of someone. If anyone has any recommendations they'd be appreciated. Thanks.
  24. Approx 8 hours from midday - 8pm tomorrow (Friday), and possibly approx 8 hours on Saturday, Sunday or Monday (TBC - depends on Friday's success!). Primarily required for helping to shift bags of woodchips, compost & plants, dig beds, remove old plants & roots, planting, etc, etc. Someone with strength, tenacity, gardening knowledge and own tools preferred! Hope there is someone out there that can help at such short notice! Please contact me with your availability, price and forum recommendations (where possible), and I'll get back to you ASAP!
