Does anyone know if the council are going to shut this road for the Saturday market and increase the number of stalls?

They certainly want to increase revenue from the stalls, but I have not heard about closing the road.

Haven't heard anything either but sounds like a good idea. Wouldn't harm traffic flow but would make it safer and more relaxed for pedestrians.

lot of history on the subject of pedestrianisation for NCRd... no cars all week, sat only etc...

I work NCRd and there are very mixed views on the matter from residents, traders and stall holders

the current discussion is about sat only, but there is an air of cynicism... most of the people I talk to from the area say it's all related to generating income for Southwark in one way or another!!! watch out scamsters about!!!

Eh? Would make it very difficult for those of us who live off North Cross Road and, erm, may want to drive our car down it !!!!! :-$
