Did you have a good iPod shuffle day today? I did. A list of mainly A-list tunes:

Why Do I Keep Counting - Killers

Superfly Bindi - Black Star Liner

Kick Inside - Kate Bush

The Things That Dreams Are Made of - The Human League

The Great Beyond - REM

Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode

Rock, Rock, Rock - Sparks

Atomic - Blondie

The Meaning of Love = Depeche Mode

Dreaming of Me - Depeche Mode

6060-842 - The B-52's

Kids With Guns - Gorillaz

Here Worship - The B-52's

Taking Islands in Africa - Japan

Grace Kelly - Mika

Positivity - Suede

It's not usually like that. But today it was, so I am thankful. Nero

Sean - without wishing to get all snobby about music - that NME compilation that you have sounds like hell on earth. The only up side to it is that The Mission are covering a classic track and not subjecting you to one of their own dreadful offerings.

I apologise in advance if you are a fan of the Mission

Ha Ben - bless you.. I didn't mean to imply that I LOVED that blasted thing - it was just something I got back in the day and thought people would find funny

Musically there is very little on there of worth - although Marc Almond's take on Like a Prayer is pretty darn good

Sean - thought that was the case but any chance to have a dig at old wayne hussey......

It's not connected at all but I once saw the Mighty Lemon Drops play an early show in Croydon somewhere and had the misfortune of catching the support act - Fields of the Nephilim. It was all flour and top hats!

    • Ha ha that's hilarious - how wonderfully embarrassing for Reform!
    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
