I presume most threads are started by blow ins. Why would this one particularly upset you Grok? Seems harmless to me. Anytime I'm tempted to add to it I think that I'm probably not a groovy fucker and I really would only want to show what great taste in music I have.

I thought it was self explanatory. Only blow. Ins would be "going home for the weekend".

nowhere NOWHERE can prepare a well-done bacon sandwich.

At home or nowt.

No matter how many times I request or explain what I want a well-done bacon sandwich is not attainable.

They say they understand, but they don't.

Bastards.

The bloke serving in one of the LL cafes who, when totalling the bill and telling me how much it comes to, just says "ELEVEN" (or whatever the amount is).

Am I already old-fashioned in still expecting (and thinking polite) "that's eleven pounds please" (or words to that effect) ?

This is not quite a tiny little thing that causes me irrational rage, it is probably a big issue for all. "doctors" when you are sitting in their "office" and they stare and type on their pc while the consultation is taking place, it's as if you are talking to an empty space or the wall. I hate it. You could be complaining about having 8 heads and they wouldn't look at you, they would just type 'patient has 8 heads'. No eye contact, no good bedside manner anymore. I tried facing the other way one time and was told off for having challenging behaviour. huh
If they are experienced doctors they shouldn't have to google symptoms, I know you are only joking ????, I could google my own symptoms and not go to the doctors. Having no bedside manner lacks communication between patient and gp.

I had a problem with my arm.. It was locked an very painful. several doctors at DMC just gave me Diclofenac..

Then one doctor there Googled the symptoms and found the problem.. It was actualy a Frozen Shoulder.

Afrozen shoulder is extreemly painful and goes through 3 stages over a 18 month period.

Eventually I was given a Hydrocortison injection which after about 4 days freed up my arm..

I was told it would last 6 months but 10 years on the problem has not returned..

Most if not all GP.s use the internet.

My frozen shoulder was 10 years back.. You got 20 min + back then..

You just went to DMC .. sat down and took your turn 8 + doctors back then no appointment need.

they shouldn't rely on the internet. Did they not go to medical school? Next time I will google my symptoms and get the diagnosis and deal with it myself or just go and ask for the prescription max 2 minutes with doctor, no eye contact needed, they can just keep their head stuck in the computer. What I am actually talking about is face to face communication with a doctor. Yes they should be given more time with the patient and afterwards write up their notes.

    • Blank canvas is best, people have all sorts of ideas/furniture/vision boards to get on with.  Clean. Crisp. Neutral. If anything, dressing with freshly baked bread, and flowers makes subtle difference.
    • I'd like to post a recommendation for Jerry Oscar of H.F.U. Ltd.   Jerry has just completed the renovation of my bathroom and I’m so happy with how it turned out.  My bathroom has a strange layout (with about a quarter of the room/floor space un-useable due to the stairs underneath), but he came up with some great ideas that have really made the most of the space - somehow he turned the room into a tardis and made room for a bath (previously only had a shower) AND even given me extra storage. He's a magician!  I felt he really cares about what he does and treated the project like it was his own home. He was also great to have around – super friendly, easy to talk to and raise any queries or concerns with the project, and he was very respectful of the space. He kept his tools tidy and made sure the bathroom was still usable while he worked, which made a big difference day to day. He doesn’t cut corners and clearly has high standards.  I’m honestly so pleased with how everything turned out. If you’re looking for someone reliable and skilled, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jerry. He does kitchens too, and if I ever redo mine, I’ll be giving him a call. • These Gents are amazing, we asked them to come and paint our whole house interior and fix a number of issues from previous paint jobs. They are professional, clean up after themselves and pay attention to every detail. Their work is outstanding and I can't recommend them enough, Brian and Malachi are incredible.
    • Fabion is an experienced plumber. I was connected with Fabion through an App when I had an emergency issue with my water tank in the loft. He fixed it.  He also came back to replace my taps in the kitchen. Since then Fabion has been able to help me with the following:  1. Putting up blinds - immaculate 2. Dismantling and reassembling beds x2 (30 mins flat)  3. Taking down big old doors Extremely professional. Clean - never leaves a mess. SO fast. Attends when he say he's going to attend. Friendly and kind.  I cannot recommend him more highly.
