Calm down Sue.

I'm almost at work at 0630. So EDF usage can feature.

It does happen !

I'll knock for you tomorrow morning, you can come with me and see for yourself !

The 0639 from ED stn to LB, we can do an old Watersons number on the way to town - I nominate Country Life "I like to rise when the sun she rises, early in the morning".

Actually, forget the above, it is after all the irrational rage thread...

What time do you 'come to' Sue ?

I was up at 5.15 and working, so 6:30 was a coffee break

Plenty of time to develop irrational rage

:)

Hmmm, well, I don't usually set the alarm before 9am, put it that way :))

I've just been reminded of something that caused me possibly irrational rage at the time ....

For several years I've had this regular saver thing at the bank using monthly direct debit. At the end of each year it comes to a close, I get the interest, then I set up another one for the next year. Nae problem.

THIS year, they said the rules had changed, and they had to ask "a few questions" before I could set up another saver, then they asked me LOADS of questions about my income and expenditure, including stuff like how much a month I spend on groceries :))

FFS! You're my bank, you can see what's going into and coming out of my account, and I'm not asking for a loan, I'm GIVING YOU MONEY EACH MONTH !!!!!

And IF I DON'T GIVE YOU THE MONEY ONE MONTH YOU WILL CLOSE DOWN THE SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND NOT GIVE ME ANY INTEREST! SO YOU'RE HARDLY LIKELY TO LOSE MONEY IF I DON'T PAY UP!!!

Afraid I got quite worked up as these questions kept coming. Poor woman at the other end seemed quite embarrassed, and who can blame her. I just plucked a figure out of the air for my grocery expenditure. GRRRRRRRRR GRRRRRRRR GRRRRRRR

Actually - that's quite rational rage, isn't it?

Please don't trouble yourself to knock for me, KK, you may get a mouthful of irrational rage on the doorstep :))

And from painful experience, people don't take kindly to having the Watersons sung on trains. Somebody once came right the length of a tube carriage in order to ask me to stop :))

Those irritating and attention seeking posts on social media where someone puts a sad face emoji or a comment along the lines of "ONG can't believe A or B just happened", and then half a dozen people jump in saying "hope you're ok? Xx" or such like, and then the initial attention seeker doesn't even reply - so most of us are still non the wiser!

Louisa.

The service is subsidised to the user for a set number of journeys each month. She can have someone with her for journeys. You apply through your local borough. • So important to give them the best chance. You can buy bells on Amazon I’ve bought the cheap collars on amazon and find they fray quickly and aren’t great quality. The bells don’t really make a noise either. I’ve also bought a posh one from Pets Couture and it’s absolutely beautiful, got a proper bell and still looks like new after nearly a whole year! Definitely worth the money
    • I completely agree. A cat with a bell comes into my garden and sits patiently beneath the bird feeders. Sometimes I hear the bell first and can chase him out before he gets there, and hopefully birds can also hear the bell (but only when he's actually moving). This has got worse since prickly rambling rose stems were removed from fences at the back of the garden. I'm looking at what cat deterrents I can put there. You have probably done this already, but if not you might want to look at ways you can try to stop the cats getting into your garden  in the first place? It's very difficult. I love both cats and birds, but  as you say, cats will be cats.
