This is a warning to all East-Dulwich residents.

A fancy menu was dropped to the area recently. The restaurant (probably only a take away place) is called Classico and they are claiming to sell stoned baked pizzas. They are based in Penge SE20.

I had the worse ever experience with them last night.

I was a bit ill so I could't be bothered to cook on top of that I had my pregnant girlfriend and her sister that came to visit.

We were starving and we decided to order pizza. Only decided to order from Classico as we though it would be traditional italian pizza.

We ordered a vegeterian pizza and they brought us one with tuna and anchovies. When I phoned asking for my money back they refused to refund me and they promised to bring the right pizza. The delivery man came again with no pizza but to pick the wrong pizza...then he came again after 20 minutes again with no pizza asking what pizza we would like for the replacement.......They only decided to refund me eventually 2 and a half hours after I ordered. Likely we had enough beans on toast for everyone.hahaha

Guys, honestly I have never had a worse experience with a take away place before.Exteremely poor customer service and the pizzas looked awful. Beware don't go through the same frustration that I did...and oh by the way the offer free wine for orders over ?25 which tastes like vinegar.

Thanks

    • Thanks Penguin. It could be a coincidence. But after years of road safety being on the local agenda they finally put the crossings in months before Dulwich Estates regain the lease on The Grove.   The Estate understands there is strong local interest in improving this area and we hope to be in a position to share some exciting updates in the near future. The temporary skatepark will remain unaffected. “Temporary skatepark” is telling.
    • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
