  1. A few squirts of neat peppermint oil around likely entry points I’ve found effective and does deter them. I use a 10ml syringe to treat various locations under floor, entry heating pipes and anywhere you see evidence.
  2. Thanks to Paul of Knight & Sons. Prompt, efficient and no fuss. Top man.
  3. Another recommendation for Tony. Used him today for a local ED pickup and delivery of heavy furniture item. He was there when he said he'd be and very helpful. Fair price too. Tony 07908878979
  4. Ah yes, I envy you too. My wife doesn't do camping anymore, so we're reduced to hotels! One obvious thing I like to carry is a comfortable pillow.
  5. Thanks for clearing it up Ian. It won't be quite the same without the Segar / Roche presence. Hope the disruption hasn't impacted adversely on you. Good luck.
  6. Sorry to read this but it looks like a lease renewal problem as the coffee shop has gone too. Perhaps Frank Roche will retire to his pad in Cyprus. Funny that I'd just come from lunch at le p'tit chou opposite the co-op and I had asked him if he was going to stay in business as there seems to be so much movement happening. East Dulwich Deli going as well. I'm just waiting to hear that my gym ESPH is in danger of being appropriated by the new cinema to be next door. I guess chang happens.

  8. The last time I went to a proper barbers it cost me 1/- (5p) and I haven't had a decent haircut since. Alas now I fear it may be too late.
  9. There are a lot of those dogs around now, I thought they required muzzles?
  10. I was bitten by a little dog in Dulwich Park a couple years ago and the owner apologised and told me that he'd never done it before. That made me feel a little better.
  11. Or perhaps it meant that South East London has the highest number of dense children per head of population across Europe although somebody told me that the kids around here are all above average.
  12. "South East London has the highest density of children per head of population across Europe " I blame it on the drink. Too many bars per head of population.
  13. Probably need another ?2million to get rid of the damp and woodworm. Old houses, I tell ya..
  14. If I had ?2million I'd live somewhere else
  15. sea cow is good with the fish but miserly with the chips. You'd need about 3 portions.
  16. Pizza Express do the best pizzas this side of Tuscany. Forget the rest.

Yes, good luck with the new shop K. I see that the Polish specialities rely heavily on processed and preserved ingredients, meats and alcohol, is there much fresh produce eaten?

No, it's an Irish shop. I don't need any Polish stuff.
  19. I prefer the Irish shop further down LL, it has a better variety of merchandise.

  22. Perhaps there should be a counselling helpline to assist those who are having difficulties recovering from the trauma of Sunday night :-)
  23. It was the Gala Opening of the Edward Alleyn Building and Michael Croft Theatre. Very good too.
  24. If they'd incorporated garages into that development instead of the lower ground flats then I think they might have sold. Maybe they were being greedy. They look cheaply made to me.
  25. Life expectancy varies within Dulwich Surely that applies everywhere
