treehugger
Anyone else suffering from very painful bites from this horrible insect? I've had three now from Peckham Rye Park - very painful and extremely swollen. Wondering whether I should go to the doc or just keep taking the antihistamine and hope they will go down. sjsl
I've been bitten before, not this year yet! They can get infected so definately recommend going to the doctor if it doesn't clear up quickly... I needed antiobiotics for one bite. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58714-blandford-fly-bites/#findComment-847309 Share on other sites

Brulysses
I tried posting before but it didn't work, here it goes again...I live in Grove Park and got three bites on my elbow in the garden, which then blew up like a balloon, quite painful and itchy...then the cat got stung by a bee...so we're not too happy with any winged stingers - little feckers! Apparently they are rampant in May/June, then die away Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58714-blandford-fly-bites/#findComment-847645 Share on other sites
